【摘要】:ThesetestmethodsmeasuretheapproximatesurfaceareaofprecipitatedhydratedsilicasthatisavailabletothenitrogenmoleculeusinganapproximationoftheB.E.T.method.Whilethemulti-pointversionoftheB.E.T.methodisgenerallyacceptedasbeinglesspronetoerrorsarisingfromthevaryingsurfacepropertiesofindividualsamples,thesingle-pointapproximationisoftenadequateduetotheshortertimepertestandrelativesimplicityoftheinstrumentationneeded.Qualitycontrolapplicationsandcomparativetestsonnear-identicalsamplesofclosechemicalandmicro-structuralcompositionarelikelytobetheapplicationsofgreatestvalue.1.1Thesetestmethodscoveraproceduretomeasurethesurfaceareaofprecipitatedhydratedsilicasby,asinglepointapproximationoftheBrunauer,Emmett,andTeller(B.E.T.)theoryofmultilayergasadsorption.Thesetestmethodsspecifythesamplepreparationandtreatment,instrumentcalibrations,requiredaccuracyandprecisionofexperimentaldata,andcalculationsofthesurfacearearesultsfromtheobtaineddata.1.2Thesetestmethodsareusedtodeterminethesinglepointnitrogensurfaceareasintherangeof10to50hm2kg(10to500m2/g).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Theminimumsafetyequipmentshouldincludeprotectivegloves,sturdyeyeandfaceprotection.
