【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardprovidesrecommendationsconcerningthestorageconditions,storagefacilities,handlingandinspectionforallprocessedsafetyphotographicfilms(hereafterreferredtoasphotographicfilm)inroll,strip,aperture-cardorsheetformat,regardlessofsize.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoextended-termandmedium-termstorageofphotographicfilmasdefinedinclause3.Itisapplicabletophotographicfilmrecordsintendedasstoragecopies,whichshouldnotbeinfrequentuse.Itdoesnotapplyto"work"or"use"copies(seeannexB).ThisInternationalStandard,whileintendedformaterialsthatareproperlyprocessed,shouldalsobeofconsiderablevalueinprolongingtheusefullifeofphotographicfilmwhoseprocessingconditionsareunknown,orthathavebeentoned,retouched,orhavemarkingswithmaterialsofuncertainorunknownstability.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicableonlytosafetyphotographicfilm(seeISO18906).Nitrate-basefilmsarehazardous(see[8]inthebibliography)andarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard.Theyrequirespecialstorageconsiderations(see[4]inthebibliography),buttheenvironmentalconditionsspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardareapplicable.Thestorageofphotographicprintsandphotographicplatesrequiresdifferentconsiderations.TheyarenotcoveredinthisInternationalStandard,butaredescribedrespectivelyinISO18920andISO18918.
