【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationoftheviscosityofengineoilsat100?Cand1ú10susingtheTaperedBearingSimulator(TBS)viscometer.Note1-ThistestmethodissimilartoTestMethodD4683whichusesthesameTBSviscometertomeasurehighshearviscosityat150?C.TheNewtoniancalibrationoilsusedtoestablishthistestmethodrangefromapproximately5to12mPaús(cP)at100?Candeitherthemanualorautomatedprotocolwasusedbyeachparticipantindevelopingtheprecisionstatement.Theviscosityrangeofthetestmethodatthistemperatureisfrom1mPaús(cP)toabove25mPaús(cP),dependingonthemodelofTBS.Thenon-Newtonianreferenceoilusedtoestablishtheshearrateof1ú10sforthistestmethodhasaviscosityofapproximately10mPaúsat100?C.Applicationtopetroleumproductsotherthanengineoilhasnotbeendeterminedinpreparingtheviscometricinformationforthistestmethod.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.ThistestmethodusesthemilliPascalsecond(mPaús)astheunitofviscosity.ThisunitisequivalenttothecentiPoise(cP),whichisshowninparentheses.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
